Lasting happiness is hard to find. We explore a key concept about why it is so hard – hedonic adaptation. This observed concept states that we are born with a soft baseline set-point for happiness.

In this episode, we parse through our understanding and interpretation of the concept of hedonic adaptation, particularly focused on how it relates to us in our modern day quest to find happiness.

The good news is that we might be able to increase our baseline happiness level through meditation, kindness, altruism and cultivating other important skills.
